Princeton Review's College Ratings 2016

The Princeton Review provides a college rating service for prospective students.  They provide ratings in eight categories to include Fire Safety.  These ratings are based upon responses to a list of category-specific survey questions developed by the Princeton Review.  For Fire Safety, the Princeton Review developed their questions in consultation with the Center for Campus Fire Safety, a non–profit organization devoted to reducing the loss of life from fire at our nation's campuses.

At W&M, the Office of Institutional Research provides the overall response to the annual Princeton Review survey with input from various University offices, including the EH&S Office which provides the data for the Fire Safety Survey.

The Fire Safety rating measures how well prepared a school is to prevent or respond to campus fires, on a scale of 60–99.  Currently, W&M maintains a fire safety score of 91.
